This year Easter is Sunday, March 31st.

Why is Easter significant to the Christian religion? Scriptures Mark 15:42-47, 16:1 and Matthew 27:57-61 explains how Jesus was buried and risen from the grave after he was beaten, tortured and crucified.

The Movie, The Passion Of The Christ depicts when Jesus was here on earth in the flesh prior to being crucified by Pontius Pilate. The Passion of The Christ was produced, directed and co written by Mel Gibson. The movie is based from the scriptures: Mark, Matthew, Luke, and John. The movie was released on February 23, 2004 and is 127 minutes long.
